Lusine has over 27 years of experience in environmental and water sectors, including academic research, water policy, water resources management, transboundary water management, climate change, resource efficiency and clean production, sustainability, life cycle assessment and techno-economic analysis of wastewater treatment technologies. She managed projects, delivered training and provided consultancy services for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), United Nations Development Program (UNDP), Global Environment Facility (GEF), the U.S. Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), European Union (EU), UNESCO, and the World Bank projects in Armenia and the Southern Caucasus.
In 2017-2019 Lusine worked for Blacksmith Institute/Pure Earth as the Country Coordinator for Armenia, managed the Lead Remediation Project in Akhtala, Armenia and coordinated the Toxic Sites Identification Project activities in Armenia. Currently Lusine works at the Washington State Department of Ecology as Wastewater Discharge Permit Writer/Financial Assistance Specialist.
